When you think of luxury vehicle brands, the first ones that come to mind may be BMW and Mercedes-Benz. After all, these brands have provided Houston, Sugar Land, and Missouri City drivers with so much over the years.

If you've ever owned a vehicle from one of these brands, you know what we're talking about. Which brand is the right fit for your current needs, though? At Momentum BMW, we're comparing BMW vs. Mercedes-Benz to give you a better idea of what these brands are all about.

BMW vs Mercedes-Benz Inventory

If you're ready to take the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz, you'll have options in the sedan category, including the A-Class, the C-Class, the E-Class, and the S-Class. With plenty to choose from, you may think this is the best fit for you. However, the BMW lineup offers its own sedans, including the 3 Series, the 5 Series, and the 7 Series. Both brands offer a long list of amenities with customization options.

Power may be what really gets you going, though. If you're only looking at the entry-level sedans of each manufacturer-the A-Class and the 3 Series-you'll see there's a big difference when it comes to the power under the hood. The A-Class comes standard with an engine that only makes a tad under 200 horsepower. The BMW 3 Series, meanwhile, produces over 250 horsepower with its standard engine, and that's the kind of power that can transform the way you look at those highway drives.

Don't forget about the SUVs these brands offer, either. Their sedans and convertibles have allowed BMW and Mercedes-Benz to make a name for themselves, but these larger models are also worth a look.

BMW vs Mercedes-Benz Awards

The J.D. Power Quality ratings and awards are doled out based on the driving experience of drivers who've been verified as owing a specific car for at least three months. This survey includes the driver's opinion of the engine, transmission, seat comfort, technology, and driving dynamics.

For the most recent model year, 2019, the 2 Series was awarded the best Small Premium Car recognition. The X4, meanwhile, took home the award for the best Compact Premium SUV. While the Mercedes-Benz family did pick up an award for best Midsize Premium Vehicle, it was the lone award for them on the list.

Convenient Service for Your Vehicle

BMW stands behind every model with warranty protection that covers the first four years or 50,000 miles, similar to what Mercedes-Benz offers with their vehicles. BMW is also proud to offer roadside assistance that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That's good for the first four years you're driving your BMW, whether it's a 3 Series, an X3, or an X7. The Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Limited Warranty also runs four years, but there's nary a mention of roadside care.

Each BMW model year 2017 or newer also comes with BMW Ultimate Care. This is standard for three years or 36,000 miles, and covers the engine oil, filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, and more. If it's time for service, stop by our dealership-we'll be here to provide it.
