The All-New 2018 BMW X3’s Details Have Been Devilishly Redefined

This November, an all-new version of the BMW X3 will arrive in dealerships. The third generation of the popular compact SAV, its looks may seem similar to the 2017 model, but the changes to chassis, powertrain, and options make it a more modern, and exciting vehicle to drive. An M40i trim will be introduced, but even the xDrive30i will also receive some of that performance DNA.

Rear-wheel biased AWD is standard across the X3 range. In the xDrive30i, a turbocharged inline-four will deliver 248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque with a 6 second 0-60 run, while the M40i’s twin-turbo inline-six will boast 355 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, and reach 60 in 4.6 seconds. In addition to the expanded equipment list, BMW will offer a factory-installed trailer hitch for the first time in 2018. Infotainment has been upgraded to iDrive 5.0, as well as the heads-up display.
